A vacuum that handles routine floor dirt may struggle when bulky pieces collect at a narrow hose entrance. Before buying more motor power, facilities teams should inspect where the waste path becomes restricted. A DASS JUMBO WD3-S wide-inlet industrial wet and dry vacuum can be evaluated against that handling problem, with waste compatibility established first.

Identify the blockage before choosing equipment

Record the size, shape and moisture of the material being collected. Flexible pieces can bunch together, while bulky fragments may obstruct a standard hose or bend. Check the inlet, hose route, collection accessory and filter as a complete system. A wide inlet does not mean that every object will pass or that the machine cannot block.

Suitable, non-hazardous bulky waste in packing areas, maintenance zones or warehouses provides a useful assessment scenario. These location names are not approvals for every material generated there. Establish waste properties before arranging a demonstration; do not test prohibited substances.

Three motors provide a control choice

JUMBOWD3S has three 1600 W motors, giving 4800 W total motor power, and a two-stage By-Pass turbine. The separately operated motors allow the operator to select a combination for the task rather than assuming all three must run for every pickup. Confirm the required combination with suitable representative material.

This flexibility is not a stated energy-saving percentage or a continuous-duty rating. Filter condition and restrictions in the collection path still matter. The stated airflow is 8000 L/min; that figure alone does not establish a mass collection rate or guarantee the result for a particular waste stream.

Why the 75 L tank needs an emptying plan

The collection tank is 75 L and made from AISI 304 stainless steel. Consider capacity together with the material's weight, emptying method and route to disposal. Equal volumes of light dry pieces and wet waste can create different handling requirements. Do not treat tank volume as a permitted load weight.

The machine weighs 30 kg and measures 55 × 60 × 105 cm. Check movement, parking and disposal access before specifying it for a narrow maintenance space. Stainless steel construction does not override substance restrictions.

Electrical supply and reach belong in the quotation review

The supply specification is 220 V / 50 Hz. Have the facility's qualified technical contact confirm compatibility with the installation. The electrical cable is 10 m long. The wide-diameter hose is 2.5 m long and reinforced with steel wire. Check the real working position; cable and hose lengths should not be added together as a promise that every location is accessible.

Wet and dry does not mean suitable for hazardous waste

JUMBO WD3-S is not ATEX rated. It must not be used with flammable or explosive materials, or materials containing solvents or acids. This restriction also applies where combustible dust or waste is involved. A wet-and-dry label does not establish suitability for an unknown liquid or hazardous process residue.

For approved applications, confirm the appropriate filter and accessory arrangement before use. Where the waste assessment calls for different protection or certification, select equipment matched to that requirement.

Procurement checklist

  • Classify the waste and exclude prohibited substances.
  • Document representative piece size and moisture.
  • Test the entire pickup path with suitable material.
  • Check separate motor operation and the required setting.
  • Confirm the electrical installation, working reach and emptying route.
  • Obtain written confirmation of the filter and accessories for the intended job.

Review the industrial vacuum cleaner range for alternatives. The existing DASS JUMBO WD3 product page offers a comparison point, but its specifications must be read separately; WD3-S ratings should not be applied to another model.

Frequently asked questions

Will a wide inlet eliminate every blockage?

No. Piece shape, hose routing and the waste mixture still affect passage through the collection path.

Do all three motors have to run together?

No. Separate operation allows selection according to the task, subject to a suitable application check.

Does a 75 L tank specify a 75 kg load?

No. Litres describe volume. Waste density and safe handling require separate assessment.

Can it collect solvents or explosive dust?

No. The model is not ATEX rated and must not collect flammable or explosive materials, or materials containing solvents or acids.
